ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is an ancient system of healing, which has been practiced in China and the East for thousands of years. As well as being an effective means of pain relief, Acupuncture is used to treat a wide range of illnesses and complaints. It is safe way to help with various specific symptoms or conditions including anxiety states, arthritis, asthma, back pain, depression, digestive orders, menstrual problems, migraines, skin conditions and many more.

ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE
This technique teaches you how to improve the way to 'use' your body in everyday life and how to change postural habits (e.g. over arching lower back, locking the knees etc.) It encourages you to take responsibility for you and your body. Alexander Technique can improve breathing, digestion and circulation of blood and lymph and may help with headaches, anxiety and back problems.

AROMATHERAPY
Aromatherapy combines therapeutic treatment with the use of essential oils which are extracted from leaves, flowers, roots and stalks of plants. These oils contain various therapeutic properties and are easily absorbed through the skin. They can restore balance and harmony, treating the person rather than a particular condition.

BOWEN TECHNIQUE
The technique involves gentle moves over muscles and other tissue to stimulate the whole body to re-align and heal itself. Because it works in harmony with the body, this technique is incredibly effective for any muscular, skeletal or neurological imbalance. As it is so gentle it can be used on anyone from infants to the elderly. Bowen technique produces a deep relaxation and can release blocked emotional energies, accelerating the healing process.

CHIROPRACTIC
This is a straightforward method of adjusting the bones of the body to restore movement, function and the correct alignment of the spine, thus improving the efficiency of the body's nerve supply. With speed and accuracy the practitioner uses only the hands to gently apply the technique, which can help with pain, discomfort and stiffness, sports injuries, headaches and migraines, indigestion and other conditions.

COUNSELLING
Counselling seeks to help people come to terms with their experiences by encouraging clients to talk about their problems in confidence, The counsellor aims to form a good relationship with the client so that thoughts and emotions can be safely expressed. The counsellor gives time to listen. Rather than just offering advice, counsellors will support the person in finding solutions to their problems in order to develop the client's potential.

FOOD INTOLERANCE TESTING
This is a one-off treatment using the body's vibrations to examine any intolerances to specific types of food. The food we eat has change a great deal in modern times. There are more exotic foods in our diet, new additives and new advanced methods of containing and preserving foods. A large number of us have a hidden sensititity or intolerance, or even an allergy to certain foods. This can cause many potential problems, including skin problems, IBS, migraines etc. Eliminating these foods can often help cure many ailments.

HERBAL THERAPY
Herbal medicine (Phytotherapy) is the practice of using whole plant extracts in a holistic manner to treat and prevent disease. Homeopathy is a well established and gentle system of medicine based on laws of nature, in which the body is encouraged to regain its own balance and health by means of appropriate stimulation. When the correct remedy is taken, the body's recovery response can be rapid and permanent. Homeopathy is completely safe, pharmaceutical free and works in harmony with the immune system.

HOT STONE THERAPY
This treatment involves the application of heated basalt stones to key points on the body, giving deep stimulation and creating sensation of comfortable warmth. Muscles are relaxed, allowing intense manipulation. In cases of muscular injury and inflammation, chilled marble stones are used, creating thermo-therapeutic vascular gymnastics to help to body detoxify and heal.

HYPNOTHERAPY
Hypnotherapy is a long established therapy that involves the client enjoying a state of deep relaxation, 'the mind zone', from which new feelings emerge. It is not about becoming unconscious, rather a focussed daydream that allows the client space to rehearse life from a better view point.Long held habits such as smoking and overeating soon change as a new way of behaving emerges. Smoking can be eliminated with one integrative session (1 and a half hours). Other habits and anxiety patterns are dealt with over a period of 4-6 sessions, at weekly intervals (1 hour). Conditions including: Weight loss, Phobias, Stop Smoking, Depression, Anxiety and medical problems can all be treated.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
This very effective treatment for the scalp, face shoulders and upper body relieves tension, stiffness and pain, improving energy levels, mental clarity and quality of sleep. This may be why it is so popular with people who use a computer.

LIFE COACHING
Life coaching covers a number of transformational techniques to help clients improve their abilities in creating  more purposeful and productive lives. 'Those who fail to plan are planning to fail'. We take the client through goal based exercises designed help them create a passionate outlook that is in harmony with their soul's purpose. From this basis we encourage the client to move beyond limiting beliefs and poor motivation to achieve those goals.

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE
This is a very gentle, rhythmic massage technique stimulating the flow of the lymph through the one way drainage pathways within the body-the lymphatic system. This results in a more thoroughly detoxified body and can clear excess fluid built up in the body's tissues. It is relaxing and pain relieving and can be used in a preventative or remedial way.

NUTRITIONAL THERAPY
This treatment aims to enhance life through correct nutrition, creating a state of harmony, health and vitality. The practitioner will assess a person's diet using a questionnaire. This involves the examination of individual circumstances, in order to determine the best way of restoring the client's health, providing specific nutritional advice. The client's progress is monitored and adjustments of the programme made, should new issues arise.

OSTEOPATHY
This is a safe and natural approach to health care, treating individuals for health problems including all joint pains and headaches. The osteopath considers the musculo-skeletal system as the physical expression of the person as a whole. After taking a full case-history and checking the functioning of the joints, they will use a wide range of techniques including soft tissue work and joint manipulation to relax the muscles, decrease tension and increase blood supply. A few examples of the problems that people seek osteopathy for are; arthritic pain, colic in new born babies, joint pain, headaches, back pain and neck pain.

REFLEXOLOGY
This is a pleasant form of deep relaxation that activates the healing powers of the body. It involves massage to the reflex areas found in the feet that correspond to all parts of the body. The practitioners hands rest lightly in a sequence of positions on the body. As physical beings we depend on an active flow of energy to maintain good health levels. Reiki releases any blockages to raise energy levels by allowing the life force to flow freely throughout the system.

ROLFING
Rolfing aims to realign and balance the whole body by working on the body's connective tissue thus resolving discomfort, reducing compensations and alleviating pain. Through the Rolfers skilful eye and touch, the body becomes subject to soft tissue manipulation with the end result being restored flexibility and structural alignment.

SHIATSU
Shiatsu seeks to aid deep relaxation and pain relief by the use of finger pressure on key energy points, plus the gentle stretching and mobilisation of the body. This traditional Japanese therapy helps to prevent illness by its simple, effective approach to good health, pain management, and its supportive role in health care. Clients wear loose comfortable clothing for treatments.

SWEDISH MASSAGE
This massage refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them to improve blood circulation and lymph flow, shorten recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes to enhance the oxygen and fuel supply to the tissues. A swedish massage will leave you with a heightened sense of well being.

THAI FOOT MASSAGE
Traditional Thai foot massage is an ancient form of therapeutic healing. Its roots are in Indian from where it was brought to Thailand over 2000 years ago by Ayurvedic monks. It combines acupressure, energy balancing and stretching. It is administered using thumbs, hands and a wooden acupressure tool. This is applied to the feet and lower leg through rubbing, kneading, stretching and vibration. This is a wonderful treatment that promotes overall health and produces a deep and unique feeling of balance, relaxation and wellbeing.
